This beautiful, Sterling Silver pendant was inspired by the ebb and flow of the tide, my love of the water and the restorative power it has.
It was hand carved in wax first, then cast in Sterling Silver to create this unique design. The ebb and flow of water is represented in the circular style of the pendant, with the movement and ripples of the waves brought out by the textured details added to the initial carving and captured in wonderful detail during the casting.
It's purposefully weighty and purposefully tactile because I wanted one touch of the pendant to take the wearer to that place and that very moment... where land meets sea, where my mind seeks solace and the waves soothe the soul.
Each pendant is aprox 1.9cm at its widest point and 2.5cm from the top of the bail to the base of the pendant. Each pendant, including the bail weighs 9.5g. It has a polished finish, with some extra high shine detail on the edges of the ripples for added sparking and to reflect the light just as the water does!
Presented on a Belcher style chain, this pendant is fabulous on a long chain, rounding off a layered look, but also works beautifully on a shorter chain for understated impact on its own. For this reason, I offer a choice of chain lengths.
The unique design of this piece is a thoughtful gift for anyone who's a water lover or coastal dreamer. A reminder that wherever you are, the restorative power of the tides ebb and flow can stay with you.
The pendant comes with a full UK hallmark from the London Assay Office and carries my own makers mark.
This piece is part of the Ebb and Flow collection, with complementing designs available.
